How Medaka Fish Inspired My Jewelry Designs

Last year, I had the incredible experience of raising medaka fish from eggs. Watching them grow from tiny, delicate balls into lively, shimmering fish was nothing short of inspiring.

When I decided to make myself a citrine bracelet, I knew I wanted something special—a unique clasp that felt personal. Looking at my medaka one day, the idea came to me: why not shape the clasp like a fish? It felt like the perfect way to pay homage to my little aquatic companions.

The bracelet turned out beautifully, and I’ve since recreated the design several times using different gemstones. Each one carries a bit of that same magic.

I hope you love them as much as I do.
